Sadan Jha

With a disciplinary background in history ( having specialization in modern Indian history), my research interests are in the areas of history of visuality (history of symbols and icons, colours etc) and my parallel research is centered upon contemporary urban experience of Surat, a fast growing metropolis in Gujarat, India.
My publications include Reverence, Resistance and Politics of Seeing the Indian National Flag (Cambridge University Press, 2016).
