Salim is the founding Director of EcoPerspectives, a Canberra based economic and climate change consulting firm. He has extensive experience in environmental, regulatory and climate change policy and economics as well as policy evaluation more broadly. Earlier in his career, he was Associate Director with the consulting firm McLennan Magasanik Associates and managed their Canberra Office. Prior to this, he served as a member of the Secretariat to the then Prime Minister's Task Group on Emissions Trading and held various senior positions in the Australian public service, including with the Productivity Commission, Australian Greenhouse Office, and Department of the Environment.
