Samantha McMahon

Samantha is Principal Lecturer and Complex Pathway Leader for a range of early years courses including FdA Early Years, BA (Hons) Early Years and the Undergraduate Practitioner Pathway with Early Years Teacher Status.

When she joined the University in 2004, her first task was to design and implement the Sector Endorsed Foundation Degree in Early Years. This role and course were absolutely key to the current suite of successful early years programmes offered, not only at Huddersfield but with partners in Oldham, Barnsley and Wakefield.

Prior to starting the University, she had taught for ten years in a range of settings including Primary School, Pre-School and FE College.
