Samir’s research interests include supply chain and logistics management (risk, resilience and sustainability), food supply chains, operations management, systems engineering, human behaviour, and new business models. He supervises PhD and EngDoc students in these areas.

Samir has published over 70 articles (journals and conference contributions), book chapters and reports and he has presented widely to both academic and practitioner audiences. He has published in refereed academic journals, including Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, and he has presented at international conferences such as Euroma, World POMS, LRN and ISL.
