Saoirse O'Shea

My research interests include marginalised and vulnerable people; auto-ethnography and ethnographic research; social change; gender, sexuality and sex. I have published in a range of academic journals including ‘Sociology’, ‘Organization’ and ‘Culture and Organization’. I have presented my research at a variety of international conferences including the AoM, EGOS, CMS, SCOS and APROS.I worked in industry after completing my first degree before returning to HE for my PhD. I was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sunderland for nearly 10 years pror to joining Leicester in 2008, first as Teaching Associate and subsequently as a Senior Tutor and Fellow. I have been a Senior Lecturer at Northumbria since 2018.
