Dr. Scott Newton has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare—working as a paramedic, a nurse, an educator and a patient flow command center leader—he is a trusted adviser and thought leader in the areas of patient access, capacity management, emergency care, and disaster readiness. Scott has deep knowledge of healthcare systems and understands that success is tied to high reliability, just-in-time responses, and responsible solutions—that it’s about getting it right the first time for patients and clinicians. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. He built a hospital command center as an output of his work while at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Scott works for TeleTracking, Inc. as Executive Director of Clinical Operations, leading care model development across a variety of national and international health systems ensuring no patient waits for care they need; and is a Lecturer at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
