Dr. Scott Samuelsen is a Professor of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He is the Director of the Advanced Power and Energy Program, the UCI Combustion Laboratory, and the National Fuel Cell Research Center for the U.S. Department of Energy and the California Energy Commission. Professor Samuelsen co-chairs the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative, a unique public-private alliance that is addressing critical technology and market hurdles to accelerate the commercialization of advanced power generation systems. His research is focused on fuel cells and fuel cell systems for stationary applications as well as the hydrogen infrastructure for the next generation of hydrogen combustion and fuel cell vehicles.
