Dr Sean Perera is a Research Fellow at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science at ANU. His research explores science communication issues arising in contemporary science education, including teacher professional development and informal science engagement, and most importantly how science is communicated with culturally and linguistically diverse audiences.

He has been commissioned to evaluated science engagement in Australia and overseas, and has published reports on the Rio Tinto Big Science Program and the National Science and Technology Centre - Questacon.
