Sebastian Rosenberg

Fellow, Centre for Mental Health Research, Australian National University

Sebastian Rosenberg is Fellow at the Learning and Development Unit, Centre for Mental Health Research at the Australian National University. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Policy, Brain and Mind Centre, Sydney University.

After a career as a public servant in both state and federal governments, Sebastian was Deputy CEO of the Mental Health Council of Australia from 2005-2009, assisting in the publication of the seminal Not for Service report (2005).

Sebastian completed his PhD in 2017: Is Anybody Getting Better - Accountability for Mental Health in Australia.

Sebastian was a member of the NHMRC's Prevention and Community Health Committee from 2009-12 and a member of the Board of Social Firms Australia from 2012-2014. He is an Associate at the Menzies School of Health Policy and a member of the Clinical Senate of the ACT. He is also a member of the Mental Health Expert Group of the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority.

Sebastian joined the Executive of the Australian Health Care Reform Alliance in September 2014.
