Lecturer in Interpreting (with Spanish), University of East Anglia

I am a Lecturer in Interpreting at the University of East Anglia and teach/have taught interpreting, audiovisual translation, including subtitling and dubbing, and specialised translation. I completed my PhD in 2017 at Queen's University Belfast, where I investigated children's reception and processing of subtitled audiovisual content, which included the use of eye tracking.

My areas of expertise are audiovisual translation and digital and arts accessibility, particularly for children and young people. My research focuses on the cognitive and educational aspects of subtitle reception in children, designing arts and media accessibility training, and the views and experiences of people with disabilities on access to digital media and the arts.
