Shelley Harrington

Shelley is a lecturer in Organisation Studies at the University of Huddersfield. Prior to joining the University of Huddersfield, Shelley completed a PhD funded by the Economics and Social Research Council at Leeds University Business School.

Shelley's core research examines the micro-foundations of dynamic capabilities. In particular, she is interested in the personality of senior leadership teams and how this influences strategic decision making within the firm. As a consequence of this she is also interested in how firms can get the best out of their employees to support sustainable competiitve advantage. Further, Shelley highlights an awareness of how firms must focus upon three core processes: sensing, seizing and managing threats.
