Sherwin Gabriel is an economist and research collaborator with IFPRI. He holds a masters degree in economics from the University of Pretoria, and has worked on economy-wide simulation modelling since 2009. A former senior economist and director in the National Treasury's modelling and forecasting unit, Sherwin continues to contribute to economic policy research in South Africa as part of the Southern Africa - Towards Inclusive Economic Development (SA-TIED) programme.
