Sibusiso Vil-Nkomo

Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship, University of Pretoria

Professor Sibusiso Vil-Nkomo obtained his bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and Economics, (Magna Cum Laude) at Lincoln University, USA in 1981. His Masters and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Delaware in the U.S.A, in 1983 and 1985, respectively. His areas of specialisation were:
Urban Economics and Public Policy
Economic Theories of Labor
Policy Analysis and Development
Urban Affairs.

He is the Chairperson of the Board of Governors: Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA)
Chairperson: Agricultural Research Council (ARC)
Deputy Chairperson: Water Research Commission (WRC.). He is a former Executive Director and a member of the Executive of the University of Pretoria.

Prof Vil Nkomo is a member of the Board of Advisors for the School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware, is a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University and serves on the Editorial Board of the Servant Leadership Journal Published at Gonzaga University.
