Sophie Di Francesco-Mayot

Lecturer on EU politics at the Monash European and EU Centre, Monash University, The University of Melbourne

I recently submitted my PhD from the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne. My thesis examines the crisis of the French Socialist Party since 1981 focusing on the issue of leadership.
In 2008, I completed a BA (Global) in European and International studies at Monash University and in 2009 I completed a BA (HI Hons) in EU politics at the Monash European and EU Centre.
In 2013, I was unit coordinator and lecturer in a Master and undergraduate unit at the Monash European and EU Centre. I taught EU politics, policies and institutions as well as European history.
I am currently undergoing an internship at the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels in the Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives Division.
