Stephen Hughes

I am a senior lecturer in physics at Queensland University of Technology. My main teaching areas are astrophysics and electronics. I am particularly interested in explaining physics and astrophysics to the general public and school students. I also do experiments with siphons. One project is currently investigating the feasibility of using siphons to drain water from glacial lakes in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan to reduce the risk of glacial lake outburst flooding.
