Lecturer in Anglophone Literatures and Cultures, University of Aberdeen

I have taught at the Universities of Heidelberg, Bonn, and Bremen in Germany and at the University of Chicago in the USA. I am currently employed at the University of Aberdeen as a lecturer in English Studies. In my research and teaching, I focus on a range of areas like postcolonial dystopias, history of emotions, and women's writings, encompassing themes of violence, insanity, and hunger to name a few. I am currently working on my second book manuscript on famine narratives.
