Susan Milner is Reader in European Politics. Her research interests lie in the field of employment relations and employment and social policy, at European Union level and in its member states. She is associate editor of Gender, Work and Organization and co-convenor of the Political Studies Association specialist group on the Politics of Work and Welfare.
She has carried out research (with Abigail Gregory, Salford University) into changing policies and practices concerning fathers at work and at home, and is a member of the Work-Family Research Network.
Other current projects include:
- Trade unions in times of austerity (including ECPR Joint Sessions 2012)
- Proving the value of third sector interventions (led by Peter Cressey, SPS; South West Forum programme funded by the national lottery)
