Thais is a researcher at the Environmental Education and Policy Laboratory - Oca - of the University of Sao Paulo, where she is taking a Ph.D. in Environmental Science.

Previously, she studied Journalism at the University of Sao Paulo and did her masters in Amazon Culture and Society in the University of Amazonas in Manaus.

Her research looks at environmental communication, with emphasis in environmental discourses and the processes of production and reproduction of knowledge.
