Senior Lecturer in Latin American Studies, University of Leeds

My research expertise covers contemporary Latin American cultural production, in particular online, and more broadly digital, works. I am particularly interested in tactical media, blogging, hypertext/media narrative, new media art, indigenous new media, and internet ethnography. My research interests also cover literature, especially travel writing, film and popular cultural forms, with a particular focus on materials of Mexican and Chicana/o origin. My major publications include: Latin American Identity in Online Cultural Production, (co-author; Routledge, 2012), Mexican Travel Writing (author, Lang, 2009), and Latin American Cyberliterature and Cyberculture (co-editor, Liverpool UP, 2007),
