Professor of Biostatistics, University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau

Thomas Lumley has a wide range of theoretical and applied research interests in biostatistics, including genomics, randomised trials, the design of statistical computing environments, and the theory of survey sampling. Originally from Australia, he worked at the University of Washington, Seattle for twelve years before moving to New Zealand in 2010. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the Royal Society of New Zealand, and a member of the R Core Development Team.
