Tim Haughton is a political scientist with a particular interest in electoral and party politics, political campaigning, the relationship between politics and government, the role of the past in the politics of the present and the domestic politics of Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. He was the joint editor with Nathaniel Copsey of the Journal of Common Market Studies’ Annual Review of the European Union for nine years (2008-2016). His latest book, The New Party Challenge, co-authored with Kevin Deegan-Krause, is due to be published by Oxford University later this year. He served as the Director of the Centre for Russian, European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) from 2012 to 2014 and the Head of the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) from 2016-18.
