I completed my PhD in cognitive psychology at Flinders University in 2018. I then worked as a research fellow at the University of Southampton from 2018-2021 and in 2021 I joined the University of Western Australia as a research associate on the project Combating Misinformation – Designing a Toolkit to Address a Global Problem.
My primary research interests focus on the impact of “fake news” and misinformation, with an emphasis on strategies that can be used to try and reduce the influence and impact of misinformation. I also maintain an interest in non-evidence based beliefs more broadly, such as conspiracy theories, paranormal beliefs, and science denialism, as well as a broader set of research interests across the domains of judgement, decision making, memory, reasoning, and cognitive bias.
