Traci Mann studies the psychological and sociological factors associated with dieting, weight gain, weight loss and stigma. She has published several books on weight and weight loss, with special focus on the stigma associated with weight. She runs the Mann Lab at the University of Minnesota, directing the research of several faculty and graduate students who study the dynamics of weight.
