My research primarily explores the politics of global financial governance and technological change. However, my work also examines the promotion of global norms or agendas and methodological issues of measurement and scaling. In my book project (in development), I explain the origins and evolution of the global financial inclusion agenda and develop the theoretical concept of "participatory ambiguity" to advance our understanding of the dynamic relationship between global agendas and coalitions. My work is published or forthcoming in the American Political Science Review and the Review of International Political Economy, among others.
