I am a full-time researcher at UNAM since 2010 and Member of the National Research System (Top Level). In our lab (Ecology of Fragmented Landscapes), we study the impact of land-use change on tropical biodiversity (both plants and animals) across different spatial scales to inform conservation plans. I work in tropical forests from México and Brazil, but frequently I also evaluate patterns at the continental and global scales through reviews and meta-analyses.
