Victor Minichiello

Emeritus Professor, University of New England

Professor Victor Minichiello, PhD, is an Emeritus Professor at UNE, Adjunct Professor at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society, La Trobe University, Conjoint Professor in the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Newcastle and Adjunct Professor in the School of Social Justice, Faculty of Law, Queensland University of Technolgy. He was a College of Experts of the Australian Research Council (ARC) and is an Auditor for Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). Professor Minichiello is also a Senior Adviser to the Centre of Expertise on Hospital and Health Services Management, Faculty of Public Health at Naresuan University in Thailand and Section Editor of BioMedical Central, Public Health (BMC).

Professor Minichiello is a gerontologist, health sociologist, sexual health and public health researcher who has published over 180 research articles in international medical, health and social sciences journals and written/edited many books on ageing, sexualities, HIV/AIDS and research methods.
