Victoria Nesfield

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in German, University of Leeds

I am an early career researcher with a background in English literature and education (BA English with Educational Studies, University of Hull) but my main research interest is Holocaust studies, particularly representation of the Holocaust in writing (PhD Holocaust literature and Jewish identity, University of Leeds).

I have taken groups of students to Auschwitz-Birkenau as a freelance educator with the Holocaust Educational Trust and recently have worked in the area of peace and reconciliation issues within the field of religion in society, with a particular focus on the Korean Peninsula and Israel and Palestine. My work at the University of Leeds is on the AHRC-funded project on post-Holocaust memory in Germany.
