Vili Lehdonvirta

Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow, Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford

Vili Lehdonvirta is an Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, a Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute, and a Hugh Price Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford. He is an economic sociologist researching the design and socioeconomic impacts of digital marketplaces and platforms, using conventional social research methods and novel data science approaches. He is currently leading a major European Research Council funded project titled "iLabour: The construction of labour markets, institutions, and movements on the Internet". His publications include Virtual Economies: Design and Analysis (MIT Press, 2014).
