Volodymyr received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arizona.
Prior to joining Purdue University, he has taught at the University of California, Irvine, Newcastle University, and Singapore Institute of Technology. He also held short-term appointments in South Korea, Germany, Japan, and France. Volodymyr's research covers various issues in economics of the aviation sector. He has published over 35 papers in scholarly journals, and a book titled "Economics of Airlines".
He is a Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Air Transport Management, teaches intensive courses for IATA Training, and has advised The Netherlands Competition Authority, the European Commission, Incheon International Airport, and Malaysian Aviation Commission on various policy issues in the aviation sector.
