Research Projects Manager, Climateworks Centre

Wei was the lead analyst in the Energy Management and Company Competitiveness project and also led the follow on Energy Productivity Index for Companies project, which focuses on supporting investors with the necessary information to engage companies on energy issues. She also worked closely with the Head of Research in undertaking the analysis of the pilot phase of ClimateWorks’ major research project: Tracking Progress towards a Low Carbon Economy.

Wei co-authored the Power and Industry reports of the Tracking Progress series, undertaking the analysis of emissions reduction activities as well as conducting interviews with key experts and businesses in these sectors. Wei also participated in multiple phases of the Industrial Energy Efficiency Data Analysis project, which investigated opportunities to improve energy efficiency in Australian industry at a granular level, and led to the the development of a user-friendly tool for policy makers to investigate barriers to uptake of energy efficiency.

Prior to joining ClimateWorks, Wei worked as a sustainability consultant at WheatonBeer Consulting providing sustainability advisory services to clients, including sustainability-related benchmarking and sustainability and climate change strategies. Wei holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours and is currently completing her MBA.
