Dr. Wei Xie is an Assistant Professor at China Centre for Agricultural Policy, Peking University. His research interests include agricultural products supply and demand and trade, climate change economy and policy.

In recent years, he has made some achievements in the fields of climate change and food safety. The relevant results are published journal like in Nature, Nature Plants, Risk Analysis, and other high impact journals such as Global Food Security. One of his articles published in CAER was selected as "Highly Commended Papers", while another one published in JIA was shortlisted as "Top Runner 5000 - Top Papers of China's Fine Science and Technology Journals".
