Professor of Non-Proliferation & International Security, King's College London

I am Professor of Non-Proliferation & International Security, and Director of the Centre for Science & Security Studies in the Department of War Studies. Prior to joining War Studies in September 2007, I was Professor of International Security and Director of Research in the Defence Studies Department at King's College London located at the Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC), Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, where I had previously been a Senior Lecturer (2002-2005) and Lecturer (1997-2002). Prior to joining King’s College London, I was a Senior Research Associate in the Center for Nonproliferation Studies, Monterey Institute of International Studies, California (1995-1997). In 1994 I spent five months as a Center Associate of the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Studies, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh.
I received my PhD (1997) and MA (1992) from the University of Birmingham, and my BA (Hons) from the University of Hull (1991).
