Wyn Bowen is currently Head of the School of Security Studies, King's College London and Professor of Non-Proliferation & International Security. He has written extensively on nuclear security and strategic weapons proliferation issues including single and co-authored books on trust in nuclear warhead dismantlement verification (2018), Iranian nuclear behavior (2016), global WMD threat reduction (2011) the Libyan nuclear programme (2006), US non-proliferation policy (2000) and US security policy (1996). Wyn served as an inspector on several missile teams in Iraq with the UN Special Commission in 1997-98 and has worked as a consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency and several government departments. Hw served as Specialist Advisor to the House of Commons' Foreign Affairs Committee for inquiries into 'The Decision to go to War with Iraq,' (2003) and 'Weapons of Mass Destruction,' (2000). He was also a member of the Royal Society’s Advisory Committee on the Scientific Aspects of International Security (2009-2011) and its Working Group on Nuclear Non-Proliferation (2010-11).
