Yuriy Gorodnichenko, a native of Ukraine, is an associate professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley. A significant part of his research has been about monetary policy (effects, optimal design, inflation targeting), fiscal policy (countercyclical policy, government spending multipliers), taxation (tax evasion, inequality), economic growth (long-run determinants, globalization, innovation, financial frictions), pricing, and business cycles. Yuriy has published widely in leading economics journals, has served on editorial boards (including VoxUkraine.org), and has been affiliated with prominent research and policy institutions.
