Worm-like nanoparticles more effective in killing breast cancer cells

Cylindrical-shaped nanoparticles are seven times more effective in delivering drugs to breast cancer cells than traditional spherical ones.

The worm-shaped nanoparticle also ensures healthy cells are not poisoned during the delivery of drugs.

Changing the shape of nanoparticles could help reduce treatment costs and side effects.
