China’s air quality kills

China’s high level of polluted air is costing lives, according to researchers at Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Research found China’s lifespan expectancy rate lowers by three years at birth for each additional 100 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic metre in the atmosphere.

China has one of the world’s highest rates of poor air quality in the world.
