Divorce rate linked to first time

Women who had sex for the first time as young teens are more likely to get divorced than those who waited until later, according to research from the University of Iowa.

A first sexual experience that was unwanted or not completely wanted was also strongly associated with divorce.

Women whose first time was under the age of 16 have higher divorce rates, even if that first sexual experience was wanted. Once over the age of 16 or 17, however, there was no direct link to divorce rates.
