For women over 30, inactivity is a bigger factor in heart risk then smoking, obesity and high blood pressure.
Research from the University of Queensland has found that while smoking has the greatest impact for women under 30, once women are past that age inactivity factors more heavily.
The study used data gathered from 32,000 women over 18 years, and concluded that there is need for a stronger focus on regular exercise for women over 30.
