Ibn Zohr University History

Ibn Zohr University was established in the year 1984. It is a public university which is situated in Agadir in Morocco. It was started in 1989 and is named after Andalusian Scholar named Ibn Zohr el-lyadi. Its main aim is community development and training without any kind of discrimination and differences.

Ibn Zohr University Programs, Courses and Schools

Ibn Zohr University comprises of 16 establishments spread in around eight cities offering learning in different disciplines. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs. Other programs to opt for include research, licence, diploma, study abroad, language, training, certifications and specialization.

Faculties of the university are doctorate and master’s in their area of study. It is the home to more than 1 lac students and plays main role in the local and community education. Continuing education and e-learning are also the part of the establishments offered by the university.

Ibn Zohr University Campuses

Ibn Zohar University has an urban campus covering the huge area with eco-friendly environment. Student facilities include cafeteria, athletic courts, fitness centre, research institutes, recreational area, auditorium, theatre, counselling centre, healthcare facility and academic buildings. There are student clubs and organisations which organises events and activities throughout the year.

There are departmental libraries in the campus along with the university online library. Each is stocked with books, journals, magazines, guides, publications and archives. Databases, e-resources, reading rooms, help desk, training rooms and computer systems are available.

Ibn Zohr University Achievements and USP

Ibn Zohr University comes among the top 27% universities of the world according to EduRank. U.S. News and World Report has ranked the university among the top 100 arab region universities and also best for the subjects like chemistry, engineering, material science and mathematics. It is internationally known for the researches it has performed.

Scholarships and other financial aids are awarded to the students on the basis of merit and other criteria. It helps students in pursuing their higher education.
