A new iPhone accessory and app can test cholesterol levels in about a minute.
The Smartphone Cholesterol Application for Rapid Diagnostics, or “smartCARD,” uses the iPhone camera to detect biomarkers in the blood.
The accessory clamps over the iPhone camera where a cholesterol test strip can be loaded, analysed and recorded onto the phone.
According to the Heart Foundation, over three million Australians have high cholesterol.
