A new map of bushfire locations and activity, developed by Edith Cowan University, has been made available to the public.
MyFireWatch has used satellite information to display 24-7 information about bushfires and lightning activity, including information on previously burned areas, greenness of vegetation, weather observations and links to relevant agencies for emergency services alerts.
The website will play a key role in fire safety planning, especially for people living in regional and remote areas.
