Probiotics help antibiotic-associated diarrhoea

Consuming probiotics (found in foods such as yogurt) is associated with a lower risk of antibiotic-related diarrhoea, according to researchers.

Antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (AAD) is an important factor in the non-use or non-adherence to antibiotic treatment.

In the future, researchers hope that probiotics will be used in conjunction with antibiotic treatments to reduce the risk of AAD.
