Cat Hope is an academic with an active profile as a composer, sound artist and musician. She is the director of the award winning music ensemble, Decibel, and has toured internationally. Her research interests include graphic and animated notation, gender equity in music practices, low frequency sound, Australian contemporary music, digital music archiving, improvisation, noise music and music technologies. She is the co author of 'Digital Arts - an Introduction to New Media (Bloomsbury) and a range of International publications.
