Postdoctoral Fellow, Center for Molecular & Behavioral Neuroscience, Rutgers University - Newark

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University–Newark. Trained as a cognitive gerontologist, my research interests include: (1) developing and testing non-pharmacological interventions with the goal of extending cognitive health, everyday function, and well-being in diverse older adults; (2) elucidating underlying mechanisms and moderators of intervention effects; (3) and identifying novel markers for earlier detection of Alzheimer’s disease. In my current role, I have been able to combine my interests while also completing additional training in neuroimaging methods and genetic biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. I also have a long-standing interest in the application of advanced multivariate statistical techniques. I have analyzed diverse project data sets, such as Staying Keen in Later Life; Advanced Cognitive Training for Independent and Vital Elderly; Health and Retirement Study; LongROAD; National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project; Fatality Analysis Reporting System; and Pathways to Healthy Aging in African Americans.
