Daniel Maier-Katkin

Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Florida State University

Daniel Maier-Katkin is a graduate of the City College of New York, Columbia Law School and the Institute of Criminology at Cambridge University. He was an assistant professor, associate professor, full professor and department head at Penn State University for more than twenty years before taking up the position of Dean of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University, His scholarly work and teaching have focused on international human rights and crimes against humanity. His work includes Stranger From Abroad: Hannah Arendt, Martin Heidegger, Friendship and Forgiveness.
