Senior Research Associate, University of East Anglia

Dr Daniel is a reproductive biologist with a BSc in Biomedical Science, a MSc in Prenatal Genetics in Fetal Medicine and is currently a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia (UEA). His research is focused on sperm biology with emphasis on sperm performance, selection and genomics. Daniel has also worked in world leading research institutions including the University College London, Francis Crick Institute, Wellcome Sanger Genome Institute and University of the Western Cape. There he researched several aspects of male fertility, reproduction and genetics.

Daniel works with a variety of model organisms to address his scientific questions including fish, sea urchins, mice and humans. His research will provide crucial insights into human fertility as well as animal breeders using in vitro fertilisation. Daniel is interested in the use of technology to overcome infertility disorders and improve health span.
