Dr Danielle Armour is a proud Kamilaroi woman from northern NSW and holds a Senior Lecturer position in the School of Education at the University of Queensland. Danielle’s research area is in Aboriginal education, and she has been involved in longitudinal studies that worked closely with 22 schools across Queensland as well as large government teaching and curriculum projects. She has extensive expertise working with Elders and community members, including co-designing research projects. Her research explores the complexities of working between Indigenous and Western knowledge systems in education settings. Prior to undertaking a role within university settings, Danielle worked as a teacher both within urban, rural and very remote settings.
