Sarah Feinstein

I joined the School of Performance and Cultural Industries in September 2019. Previously, I worked as a Lecturer in Museology in the Department of Art History and Cultural Practices at the University of Manchester in 2018.

I have worked for many years in the heritage sector both in the United States and United Kingdom. In collections management, I have worked at the National Gallery of Art (USA) and the Repatriation Department at the National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian). I have worked in the UK as a collections assistant at the Women’s Art Library in London and researcher with the Prison’s Memory Archive in Belfast. I also have experience working in policy with the Seattle Arts Commission and the Local Arts Agency Division of the National Endowment for the Arts (USA).

I have published on a range of subjects related to the cultural industries, from representation of women in the gaming industry in museum exhibitions to heritage interpretation in Northern Ireland. My most recent work is a co-edited volume Full Throttle Franchise: The Culture, Business and Politics of Fast and Furious (Bloomsbury 2023).
