Francisco J. Santiago-Ávila

Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Wisconsin-Madison

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and hold Masters degrees in public policy and environmental management from Duke University. My research revolves around the integration and application of nature ethics to coexistence alongside nonhumans, the evaluation of the mortality impacts and functional effectiveness of policies affecting nonhumans, and interventions aimed at improving coexistence.
