Professor of Economics (Crawford School of Public Policy and the College of Business and Economics) and National President IPAA, Australian National University

I am now a Professor of Economics, jointly in the Crawford School of Public Policy and the College of Business and Economics. I was previously a public servant, including as Secretary of the Department of the Environment and Energy (2013-17), Associate Secretary in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (2008-13), and had senior positions in the Treasury, ANU (as Professor 2000-02) and the Reserve Bank. I have a PhD in economics. I am on a range of Boards (ANSTO, CEDA, TNC) and do reports for governments on topical issues.
