Hrvoje Tkalčić

Professor, Head of Geophysics, Director of Warramunga Array, Australian National University

I use seismology and mathematical geophysics tools to understand the internal workings of our planet. You can think of these tools together as an internal telescope through which we image Earth's structure and dynamics. My research interests span global seismology from the inner core to the crust, ocean, cryosphere, atmosphere and out in the solar system. I contribute to the deployment of geophysical instruments in remote areas of Earth including oceans, and support their installation on other planets and bodies of the Solar System.
